Music has been online for quite some time now. We've seen its existence become larger and more impactful, defining generational culture and representing much of what the Internet has grown to be. The most powerful online network was created for the purpose of enabling the self-promotion of music, and many web-based apps and services have sprouted in its long shadow. Considering the number of eyes that MySpace catches, most of the music widgets are optimized to function on this platform. These music widgets have different functions, but all aid in the continued self-promotion of artists.
