The british trio N-Dubz released today the music video which is premiered to support their latest single "Cold Shoulder". Dappy and Fazer dance with scantily-clad ladies, while Tulisa shakes her body with some gentlemen in tuxedo.
The single was co-produced by Salaam Remi, beeing lifted from N-Dubz's third studio album "Love Live Life".
Already making a name in their hometown, N-Dubz are now attempting to make a big break Stateside changing their looks and their sound: "PEOPLE are going to have a big shock when they hear our new album Best Behaviour.
We’ve had to accommodate for the Americans and at the end of day they don’t wanna hear what we make in the UK.
I reckon people will be shocked and some people won’t like it. They’ll say ‘you’ve gone all American’.
If you wanna sell records in America you have to be willing to change your style a little bit to accommodate them - you either like it or lump it and it’s better than no album at all.
At least we’re not forgetting about our fan base or where we started.
The first two N-Dubz albums were solely produced by Fazer but we worked on this album with loads of massive producers in America so we’ve got all different sounds on there.
Love Is All You Need is the most N-Dubz type song on there and why?
Because Fazer produced it. But the single after that is completely different from anything we’ve ever done before.
There’s everything from dance tracks like a David Guetta-type song to a TI-esque dirty south hip-hop type track.
As an entertainer I can’t sit around and make the same music all the time. Making new music doesn’t mean selling out; it’s just trying something new. I’m an entertainer so I entertain but I’m also a musician and like making music for myself.
Our American A&R guy just said he preferred me blonde.
And while I don’t really care what colour my hair is so I said I’d dye it back if they wanted.
However now I feel comfortable being brunette so I’m gonna keep it like this. I’d really like to get veneers, fill in the gaps on my teeth and they said they’d organise that in America but it never got done.
Changing my body for the States isn’t something I’m prepared to do as I have no urge to be super skinny.
